A video platform is a website to which users can send videos that can be viewed online by a wide audience. The videos that are published via such site are called web videos or online videos. Examples of video platforms are YouTube or Vimeo. A closed video platform is a website where web videos can be viewed for a select audience, whether or not for a fee. They are used for, for example, an online course or the well-known streaming services. Examples are Udemy and Netflix.
